UAT Wins 11.3 Million for Naval Titanium Project
Universal Achemetal Titanium LLC of Butte has been awarded 11.3 million by the Department of Defense to advance titanium metal R D for the Navy. The contract is through LIFT with Montana Tech as a research partner, aiming to build domestic titanium production from local ores in southwest Montana. Dr James Cox notes hiring four new staff and three interns as the project advances.
