Car train collision kills Livingston woman
Mrs. Ethel Swainson 22 wife of Livingston Flying Service operator died in a county road train car crash half a mile south of Livingston. The station wagon was broadside struck by a Northern Pacific train en route to Gardiner. An inquest is planned and the crossing serves Five Acre Tracts residents. Tax delinquent sale in Silver Bow nets $18270
Silver Bow County grossed $18 270 Tuesday in a sale of tax delinquent properties. John Bender, a Butte realtor, bid 7 700 on five parcels. In all 35 parcels were auctioned with multiple sizable purchases including the Orton Block at 216 N Main and four lots across several additions and mining claims. Joan Wilkins bid 2 500 for the Park Hotel at 217 W Park, second largest bid. Others bought parcels in Big Butte, Northern Pacific, Montrose, Gilman, and Fairview additions.
