Butte Central student James Holmes will attend MIT in Cambridge after a rigorous application process. The Montana Department of Commerce says federal ARPA funds for the Homeowner Assistance Fund Repairs have run out due to higher than expected demand. The program will stop accepting applications, after $18.6 million was expected to last through 2026. ARPA Housing Program executive Melissa Herrera notes the take-up exceeded projections, but praises the program’s value to many homeowners.
