A former friend of the alleged victim testifies that the victim told law enforcement she was 20. Jay Dee Davisson of Butte faces felony sexual intercourse without consent and the misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. He allegedly provided alcohol to a 15 year old and had non-consensual intercourse while she was under the age of consent. The incident occurred on Aug 2, 2020, and the friend says the victim appeared intoxicated. Page A6 TRIAL.
Public employee unions in Montana oppose House Bill 216, which would mandate yearly consent forms to stay in a union. About 20 opponents testified in a House State Administration Committee hearing, arguing the measure creates onerous membership requirements despite invoking the Janus decision. Jasmine Krotkov of the Montana Farmers Union says it would hinder employees from joining together for better wages and conditions.
