A two story apartment building at 707 East Galena owned by Mrs Anna Gilligan burned from 11 am Friday. Three fire units fought the blaze for 3 hours 45 minutes. Two lower apartments were destroyed and the roof burned through. A foreign car in a basement garage was damaged but towed out. Water and smoke damaged the rest. Cause was undetermined.
