A Cincinnati to Florida flyer of the Chattanooga New Orleans and Texas Pacific plunged off the rails two miles south of Helenwood Tennessee killing at least five and injuring about twenty. Nineteen Prohibition Prisoners Freed After 10 Day Terms
Nineteen federal prisoners who pleaded guilty to violation of the prohibition law and were sentenced to 30 day jail terms by Federal Judge George M. Bourquin on December 27 were released from the county jail at midnight last night after serving 10 days. They paid fines ranging from $100 to $125 in addition to the jail sentences. A total of 56 criminal actions, all charging violation of the prohibtion laws, are set for trial Monday in federal court.
