Butte native Captain Fred H. Ernst, 32, son of Mrs. William J. Cummins, graduated from Edwards Air Force Base Aerospace Research Pilot School along with 12 other pilots. The 13 graduates received diplomas at a Doolittle dinner. Ernst stays at Edwards as an instructor and has a background in naval academy education, rocket propulsion research, and astronautics coursework.
A historic coastal blizzard sweeps the East from Arkansas to New England dumping up to two feet of snow. Raymond F. Dugdale 69 of 321 Burlington died in a local hospital after a long illness. A prominent figure in Butte and Montana Masonry and Boy Scout history, he joined Scouting in 1910 and became a scoutmaster in 1932. He served as past master of Delta Lodge 128 AF&AM and of the Scottish Rites, and as past patron of Olive Chapter 10 OES. He retired in 1963 after a career with Continental Oil Garrett Freight Lines and Montana Highway Department.
Three Montana projects approved under Title III include Powell County High School in Deer Lodge receiving 4794 dollars for a four week field ecology and geology summer institute for 20 biology and physical science students.

Donald Danilo Borozan, 28, son of Mr and Mrs Mashan Borozan of 223% East Granite Butte native and former Butte High football star and Golden Glove boxer, died Sunday afternoon in Oak Harbor Washington after losing balance and tumbling from a wall and cliff. His body will arrive by plane in Butte this morning and funeral services are set for Wednesday January 8 1938. He attended Washington School and Butte High School.
