Butte Man Shot and Killed While Elk Hunting in Park County

Henry E. Lawrence 37 of Butte died after a high caliber bullet struck him above the left hip as he hunted with companions in the Gardiner Jardine area near Yellowstone. A coroner's jury ruled death by gunshot wound of unknown source. a 17 year old Anaconda High School student may have fired the fatal bullet. The gun and bullet will be sent to Washington for FBI ballistics testing.

More Solons Are Quitting Than Can Be Recalled

Collision of two MIG 15s ends with deserter chase

Austrian police say a Soviet pilot rammed a deserter during a Saturday MIG 15 collision over Burgenland. One pilot died, Capt Nikolai Konoklov parachuted to safety and later claimed to be pursuing an unknown plane. Austria protests to Hungary over the territorial violation.

Longer Foreign Aid Has New Foes Ike to Meet Sen George

House Foreign Affairs chairmen Richards and Vorys said they oppose foreign aid being funded for more than one year at a time. President Eisenhower will discuss the issue with Sen. Northern Pacific and Great Northern Weigh Merger

A preliminary study by Great Northern and Northern Pacific explores a possible merger of four lines, including Chicago Burlington & Quincy and Spokane Portland & Seattle, totaling about 27 000 miles in 19 states and two provinces. Five Die as Truck Hits Auto Carrying Families

Five persons were killed and three injured critically when a truck left U S 136 and crashed into an auto carrying two couples and four small children west of Brownsburg Indiana.
