Helena Montana January 22 AP Montana highway commission offers recommendations for five bridges across major rivers for next session. Three bridges would span the Missouri and two the Yellowstone linking Chinook Malta Lewistown Glasgow Jordan Culbertson Sidney and Sidney to Malta. A special election may follow for funding decisions.

Anti-Tuberculosis Group Appeals for Funds in Butte
W. E. Pierce president of the Butte Anti Tuberculosis society urges more donations as the group trails its $1,000 goal. He cites nurse Mrs Mary R Boyle's 1929 report showing 384 year examinations 296 new cases revisits and re examinations at the clinic. Butte aviators Bert Mooney and John Fox hosted Major Royce and his Army Snowbirds after a 75 mile flight to Helena. The two carried out a 10 minute aerial greeting over 17 yellow winged planes as hundreds watched from the capital city. The return trip to Butte took 25 minutes.

Army test flight ends in Helena during winter patrol
16 pursuit planes and one transport of the army winter test patrol rested at Helena Municipal Airport after a 2 hour 40 minute flight from Newman Lake near Spokane in clear weather. Major Ralph Royce called today’s conditions the best since leaving the eastern port as the squadron heads toward City for the next leg to Selfridge Field. The group flew at about 4000 feet over the Rockies before landing in Helena.
