Butte Defendant Tells of Slaying 17 Americans in Jamaica Crash
A Colombian airliner en route from New York crashed near Montego Bay Jamaica killing 37 passengers and crew. Nine survived including none of the 17 Americans aboard. Notables among the dead included Mr and Mrs Thomas Capehart and John H Marhoefer. The plane, a two million dollar Super Constitution, flipped and burned injuring several in the swamp.
