Two Hurt in Highway Collision Near Mining City
Two people were injured, one seriously, when the car they rode in struck a parked vehicle on the Butte Helena highway about 5:25 PM Saturday, 20 miles north of the Mining City. Mrs John White of the Elkhorn mine was admitted to St James hospital with head cuts and possible chest injury. Leo Cox, a mine employee, suffered a fractured right foot and bruises. Mrs White’s husband, the driver of one car, and the other driver Howard Peterson escaped injury. White was charged with operating under the influence and the case will be heard in Jefferson county justice court.
