The 16th annual Butte municipal carnival will be held January 26 and 27 at 18 city rinks. The event honors rink patrons for maintaining order. Twenty contests include four age divisions for girls and boys with medals for first place and ribbons for second and third. Preliminary events on the 26th finals on the 27th. Continued on Page 3.
Mrs Annetta Jane W Williams Grunert died last night at a local hospital after an operation. She was wife of August Grunert FERA relief director of Jefferson county and a former University of Washington alumna. She leaves two daughters Annetta and Barbara a sister Mrs Carl Christian Oakland Cal and other relatives. The body is at White's funeral home.
Hollywood January 18. Lloyd Hamilton, 44, noted round-faced motion picture comedian, died late today from a stomach ailment. He had been dangerously ill for some time and recently underwent a blood transfusion, with physicians reporting condition improved earlier.
The fifty first annual convention of the Montana Stockgrowers association will be held in Great Falls on May 23 24 and 25. E A Phillips secretary said the decision was made at the executive committee meeting here today.
