Two Federal Court Juries To Convene in Butte Today
Two federal juries will convene in Butte with a grand jury reporting at 9:30 a.m. and a petit jury at 10 a.m. The grand jury will hear evidence presented by U.S. Attorney Moody Brickett and assistants and decide if charges should be brought. The petit jury previously recessed after a verdict in a land condemnation suit for 857 acres near Armstead for Clark Canyon Dam. The trial involved Pierces Construction Co versus Roszko Trucking Co and Jacques Guy over alleged $25,000 damages from a November 1960 crash on State Highway 41 between Twin Bridges and Silver Star.
