More than 500 delegates and visitors arrived in Butte for the thirty eighth annual Montana Wool Growers association convention. Headquarters are at the Finlen hotel with Kathleen Nielson overseeing. A pre conference directors meeting and a sheep industry exhibit drew local interest featuring fleeces grades a wool manufacturing outline and a USDA wool grading demo. A meat cutting demonstration by Hansen Packing is planned for Tuesday with committee meetings and sightseeing today.

Doctor Willis Henry Haviland a longtime Butte physician and surgeon died at his home, aged in service for 50 years. A New York native and former south side resident, he practiced in the Pennsylvania block and ran as a Republican candidate for state senator.
