In Glacier National Park the Blackfeet gathered at Two Medicine Lake to share plant medicine knowledge. Elders and youth described herbs like yarrow juniper mountain ash sage mint and rosehip used for healing. Organizers say tribal colleges sustain language culture and traditional practices damaged by U.S. policy and trauma.

EPA lead in soil rules prompt urgency from Butte watchdogs
Activists urge quicker EPA action on a proposed lead action level drop from 1200 ppm to 175 ppm for residential soils and interior dust. The Butte watchdogs back expanded sampling that could reach 7,253 homes, but fear a 25 year cleanup horizon under the Butte Priority Soils Operable Unit. Public comment runs to February 14.
