Kissinger ends six-day Hanoi talks heads to Florida

Kissinger and Le Duc Tho wrap six days of peace talks in Paris and depart for Florida to brief President Nixon. Officials say progress was made though no near accord, with technical talks to continue in Paris and Tho remaining in Paris alongside Special Adviser Le Duc Tho.

Butte boards weighs plan for new high school bond

Butte trustees moved to authorize Supt. Ken Olsen to study constructing a new high school and to explore middle school concepts and curriculum changes. The plan foresees K–5 elementary, 6–8 middle schools, 9–12 high school, with a future vocational plant and possible post secondary vo tech. A citizens committee led by Mrs. Charlotte Kilroy will assist.

Nixon in trouble if peace talks fail by Inauguration

Senator George Aiken warned President Nixon could face heavy trouble in Congress if Vietnam peace talks do not yield a settlement by around Inauguration.
