Col J J McGuinness Dies In Helena At 69
Colonel John J. McGuinness 69 veteran district court reporter and former Anaconda resident died tonight in Helena of heart disease. A World War I colonel with the 163rd United States infantry he also led the Second Montana infantry on the Mexican border. Born in Liverpool England he came to the U S in 1882 settled in St Paul and moved to Montana in 1892. He later served as secretary for Judge Albert J Galen and Dan M Kelly during their Montana attorney general terms.
