Miss Egger Dies After Auto Crash East of Whitehall
Shirley Egger a 21 year old Whitehall woman died from punctured lungs caused by rib fractures in an automobile crash east of Whitehall on Wednesday. Coroner Dr Emmet J Paulsen reported the death Friday after an autopsy. The body was moved from Whites Funeral Home to Scott Funeral Home in Whitehall. Services are set for Monday at 10 am in St Teresa Catholic Church Whitehall with burial in Whitehall Cemetery. Rosary is scheduled Sunday at 8 pm in Scott Chapel. A.L.C Willis Mensing 26 Anaconda and Airman Mensing were occupants of the same car. The crash sent the car over an embankment onto railroad tracks one mile east of LaHood Park.mensing was to be flown to Great Falls for treatment but flight conditions forced cancellation. An Air Force plane arrived at Malmstrom AFB Great Falls but turbulence reportedly hindered transport. Mensing remained listed as fair.
