American forces led by the 1st Infantry Division and the 173rd Airborne Brigade joined 7,000 troops with Australian and New Zealand support to assault the Ho Bo Forest north of Saigon. Butte police using a new spot check program arrested two minors for drinking in bars and charged a bartender for serving liquor to a minor at the Martian A-Go-Go on East Park. A second Friday incident yielded an 18 year old held after showing a stolen draft card. officials warned about federal and state penalties. Assistants included Everett Bumgarner Charles Matule and John.
