In Livingston on January 1 the body of John Norby a 32 year old resident of Contact was found after a deadly avalanche. Rescue crews of 55 men in extreme snow three feet deep and trapped terrain searched through the day seeking Norby and fellow rodeo performer Jack Tracy who was later found safe.
