President Roosevelt outlined a united war plan to Congress detailing massive arms production and multi front fighting. He pledged that U S forces would strike enemy territory and bring total victory as Berlin and Tokyo militarists started the war.
Congress outlines annual production goals including 60,000 planes 125,000 next year 45000 tanks 15000 next year 200000 anti aircraft guns 35000 next year 8 million tons of shipping 10 million next year. The President says these figures show the effort behind U S war mobilization and aims to deter Japan and Germany.
The Brazilian government seized the German controlled Condor Airlines on January 6 and restricted stock to native Brazilians. The aviation minister will supervise operations amid the suspension of flights after fuel restrictions.
