A centrist Republican coalition and minority Democrats advanced a revised House rules package amid a fractious 57 to 42 vote. The changes curb the right wing’s power by lowering the blast vote threshold from 60 to 55, enabling faster full-House action on bills.
The Butte-Silver Bow Commission started 2023 with new leaders including Shawn Fredrickson as council chairman for the next two years and Michele Shea as vice chair.
