Fewer Divorced People Take New Spouses Under 63 Law

A six month waiting period after divorce reduced marriages by previously married individuals in Silver Bow County in 1963. Of 351 licenses, 164 in the first six months and 187 in the second, with 34 percent and 27 percent previously married respectively. In the latter period 50 licenses covered 76 previously married persons. No cases of immediate remarriage after divorce were reported.
