James F. Neely of Helena was appointed Friday by the Montana examiners board to direct the Montana World War II veterans bonus program. The Supreme Court upheld the bonus, allowing about 22 million dollars to be paid to an estimated 55 000 ex servicemen. Neely, a Montana National Guard colonel, has long served in guard roles and previously worked for Montana Power. The board will organize the program including forms and office space.
