Peter C. McDermott 79 long time Butte resident died suddenly at his Los Angeles home Tuesday. He owned the Excelsior Market at 422 North Excelsior and served two terms in the Montana State Legislature as a Democrat. He was a Butte alderman for two terms and a charter member of the Butte Pioneers club. An inquest is pending into the fatal shooting of Silvio Castiglioni 45 after a struggle with stepson Pfc Merle Wenger 24 at the Castiglioni home.
