Helena AP reports five state institutions in Montana will adopt new names effective January 1 under legislation approved by the 1967 Montana Legislature. The Swan River Youth Forest Camp opens Monday as the sole new facility, replacing names from Galen State Hospital to Boulder River School and Hospital among others.

A 16 year old Stanford boy, Lowell Edward Samson, was killed Friday afternoon while elk hunting with two companions in the Taylor area. He was shot in the temple by a rifle discharge.
