Butte Man Pleads Guilty to Second Degree Assault
Louis Kostoff, a Deer Lodge laborer held for six months on an assault charge linked to a July auto crash that cost Garde Wood his leg, pleaded guilty to second degree assault. He received a 16 month penitentiary sentence, the first under a new law penalizing drivers who flee crashes with serious injury. Kostoff's car collided with Wood on the Deer Lodge road. Wood, manager of Mutual Creamery, lost a leg. Kostoff according to reports was arrested two days after the crash and will be sent to the state penitentiary today.

Hunt for Butte Woman to Reclaim Estate Cash
Helena dispatch reports Mrs. Anna Kacar who killed her husband Dominick Kacar in Butte years ago and served 18 months in prison has $42.15 coming from his estate. Julia Harrington, Silver Bow county public administrator, cannot locate Kacar who was paroled May 7 1927 and disappeared after monthly reports. State prison commissioners received a letter requesting aid in finding her.
