Madison River use debated as commission defers action

Montana officials again defer decisions on Madison River management. The 12 member Madison River Work Group proposed a mandatory float permit for recreational users and caps for commercial outfits, but the Fish and Wildlife Commission took no action and will send the issue to the Legislature for study.
