The Calgary team defeated Montana Tech 74 to 61 in a college basketball game. Calgary led from early on and maintained the advantage through the second half.
Nearly 600 miles of blue ribbon trout streams in Gallatin and Madison counties are polluted or threatened, the Montana Water Quality Bureau reports. The Gallatin study found 257 miles at risk and Madison 320 miles. five major Madison streams and three smaller ones are degraded due to human activity.
A study links turbidity and higher water temperatures in the Madison, Big Hole, Beaverhead and Jefferson rivers to agricultural irrigation.
