A training F4C Phantom from Nellis AFB crashed into The Food Giant on 29th Street near Alvernon, setting a blaze that spread to nearby shops. Two airmen parachuted to safety. five people including a 2 year old died. The crash damaged homes and other businesses as emergency crews worked for hours.
