Explosion kills three in Claremont rooming house
In Claremont New Hampshire an oil lamp exploded in a first floor rooming house killing three. Mrs E Lourie Larock owner of the house died from burns Beulah Larock five year old daughter and Hyacinthe Rainville 35 a roomer suffocated by smoke. The blast occurred in a room occupied by Mrs Larock and her two daughters.

Butte Youth Narrowly Escapes Death in Train Collision
Geffry Woodhouse a 23 year old Montana State College electrical engineering junior survived after his car was struck by Milwaukee train No 18 near Three Forks Mont this morning as he headed home for the holidays. He is in a semi conscious state with brain concussion and bruises, his car demolished and the train pushing it 40 feet down the track. He is expected to recover.

Pilots forced back on Eielson rescue flight
