Gambler L. B. Benny Binion was sentenced in San Antonio to five years in prison and a $20,000 fine due within 90 days after pleading guilty to four counts of income tax evasion for 1947-48. If the fine is unpaid, a 10-year term may follow, according to U S District Attorney Charles F. Herring.
