PANMUNJOM The United Nations Command rejects a final answer from 22 Americans who refuse to appear before Allied explainers. Allies asked India to present six Americans 30 South Koreans or a lone British Marine. all listed refuse. Indian spokesman cites a possible unified stance by Americans South Koreans and the Englishman.
The Montana American Legion condemned Veterans' Administration regulations requiring non service connected veterans to submit financial statements before hospital admission. They argued the rules are unlawful and harsher than those for county poor farms. The group also debated a Korean War veteran bonus and a War Veterans Day proposal. A Butte man, Charles H. Amos, 1900 Wall, was hospitalized with leg injuries after a collision between a car driven by Charles Grant, 15, of 1927 Marcia, and a cattle truck driven by John Galiger, 39, of Sheridan. Grant and Amos were the occupants of the wrecked car. Blakely and Moltich, also of Sheridan, escaped injury.
