Anaconda Co Rejects Federal Fact-Finding in Copper Strike
The Anaconda Co along with other major copper producers rejected a presidential fact-finding panel for the industry strike and proposed an alternative that would create local fact finding panels at each Anaconda site. The plan would appoint two labor and two management members with a public member chosen, and if no agreement on a fifth member within 15 days, the American Arbitration Association would designate one.
