Kruse Named Montana Ship Committee Chairman
A. HL Kruse, Montana state agriculture commissioner, was appointed state chairman of the Northwest Christmas ship committee. The ship will carry 10,000 tons of food and clothing from Montana, Oregon, Washington and Idaho to Europe, leaving Seattle on Christmas Day and loading cargo at Portland. Governor Ford announced Kruse’s appointment and said railroads will provide free transportation for gifts to Seattle, Tacoma and Portland areas.
