Aspirin Cuts Clot Risk for Men After Hip Surgery

A Massachusetts General Hospital study shows aspirin reduced vein blood clots in men over 40 after hip replacement surgery, with 4 of 23 on aspirin forming clots versus 14 of 25 on placebo. The effect did not apply to women, and no deaths occurred in the study.
