Mrs. Merriam Herbeck, 71, of 27 Casey died Wednesday night in a residence blaze believed due to undetermined causes. Her husband Edwin was hospitalized in shock and later released. An autopsy is pending as investigators from the fire department, police, and coroner’s office continue the probe. Funeral arrangements are pending.
