Missing water-quality device recovered from Big Hole River

An anonymous tip led to the recovery of a missing water-quality monitoring device known as a sonde, valued at over 10000 dollars, submerged in the Big Hole River near Dewey. Wade Fellin found it in willows about 10 feet above water, after it was missing since mid-August as part of Save Wild Trout led by Kyle Flynn. Flynn, who installed the sonde Aug. 15, questions remain about intact data and damaged probes while awaiting inspection.
