Plane crash kills two former Butte residents near Pendleton
Leslie Claude McMahon and Doris McMahon, once of Butte, died in a Piper Tri-Pacer crash 35 miles east of Pendleton Oregon after a weekend trip to Las Vegas. Also killed were Richard B Cornell and Peggy Cornell of Spokane. The bodies were found in rolling stubble near Gibbons Oregon. McMahon seated piloting, Cornell on his right, McMahon's wife beside him, Cornell’s wife ejected. The McMahons had moved to Spokane seven years earlier where McMahon led a dental supply firm. Funeral services will be held at Richards Funeral Home in Butte.
