Mrs. Ray E. Hughes 79 died Monday in Beaumont California where she had lived about six years. She was born April 13 1888 in LaCrosse Wisconsin and moved to Glendive as a child. She married Ray E. Hughes November 11 1912 in Glendive and lived in Lolo where he ran Hughes Mercantile and was postmaster until his death in 1955. She was active in the Lolo Woman's Club and Immanuel Chapter 54 Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years. Survivors include a son Max of Lolo a daughter Mrs. James P. Murphy of Butte a brother Rae Maxwell of Beaumont four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorials to the Heart Association.

Change in courts sought in theater case
James A. Robischon as defense counsel filed a district court petition Tuesday for removal to federal court of a $25,226 damage action by R. G. Tucker against National General Corp. which runs the Fox Theater in Butte. The petition alleges the Delaware corporation has its principal place of business in California and is not a Montana resident. Tucker alleges he was attacked in a theater restroom on March 31, 1966.
