Kennedy selects Goldberg to replace Frankfurter on Supreme Court

Msgr Raymond G Hunthausen will be consecrated the sixth bishop of the Helena diocese at St Helena Cathedral with Apostolic Delegate Archb Vag nozzi as consecrator. Archbishop Topel and Bishop Condon will serve as co consecrators. Hunthausen, president of Carroll College, becomes the first native Montanan to head the diocese, succeeding Bishop Gilmore who died last April.

Billings Man Dies in Crash Near Hardin
Raymond Eugene McFarland 24 of Billings died from head injuries suffered in a single car crash on the Yellowtail Dam road ten miles south of Hardin. Kenneth D. Lahn, also of Billings, escaped with minor injuries as their pickup left the highway and overturned. McFarland died at 10 15 a m in a Billings hospital after being flown there. highway patrolman Ed Whaley cited the cause as the vehicle skidding along the shoulder and overturning. The Montana traffic toll rose to 158 for the year.
