Moscow says foreign submarines have patrolled near Soviet coasts while submerged and may be destroyed if they intrude again. Tass quotes strict adherence to international law and warns entry by submerged subs is a flagrant violation and will be met with attack.
A Minnesota group of bankers and industrialists, escorted by Montana officials, visits Butte today. Governor Donald G. Nutter arranged the tour to attract plants to Montana, with Lt. Gov. Tim Babcock and Tom Collins coordinating and E. P. Prizelle leading the local program at the Finlen Hotel.

Mrs. Sarah Thornton O'Brien of 733 N Montana Butte died Monday morning after an extended illness at age 93. Native of Spiddle Ireland she was a St Mary Church member. Police reported two burglaries in Butte. Albert Ostler of 4900 Harrison saw coins valued at 350 dollars actual and 1500 dollars collectors' value stolen from his locked basement room, suggesting a key used. An electric razor three harmonicas and two woolen blankets were taken from 1006 S. Wyoming between 11 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday after an apparent entry through an open back door.

The nuclear submarine Abraham Lincoln slid down the Cooper River in Charleston to join four sister ships on global patrol duty. The sub carries 16 nuclear armed Polaris missiles loaded at the Charleston Naval Ammunition Depot along with other supplies.

Five young men escaped injury when their car missed the Meaderville overpass in the 1400 block of East Mercury, plunged down an embankment, rolled several times and burned. Driver Donald Talbott 3148 Keokuk held briefly for observation. others Mike McGrath 17 Bob Worley 20 Tom Lloyd 19 and Harry Martz 18 uninjured. Montana Highway Patrol to continue investigation.
The Livingston post office reported an undisclosed cash loss after a window break allowed burglars to access stamp drawers and a vending machine. Bloodstains appeared on the window sill, three safes and two vaults remained untouched, and postal inspectors led the investigation while two nearby businesses in Wilsall also reported burglaries.
