The Marcus Daly statue on the Montana School of Mines campus was tarred and feathered on Monday. A glue like substance covered the statue and a pillow burst, scattering feathers. the pillow case was found at the pedestal base. The statue was moved to the Mines campus June 25, 1941 and has a history of vandalism including painted neckwear on St Patrick Day.
