Five Illinois Women Die In Wisconsin Car Train Crash
A vacation trip of five Freeport women ended in tragedy near Almond Wisconsin when the auto they rode in was struck by a Chicago and Northwestern passenger train at a grade crossing. The car, traveling about 60 miles per hour, was struck as another vehicle waited for the oncoming train. All five women Miss Martha Young Mrs C Fred Kuehner Mrs O C Weber Mrs Ann M Grampden and Miss Allce Reitzel were killed. The group had been driving to Wisconsin to pick up Miss Young and were returning when the collision occurred.
