Billings Woman Charged in Triangle Slaying
A 19 year old Billings woman Mildred Cottrell was jailed on a first degree murder charge for the shooting of Betty Roberts 30 a drug store clerk. Police say the motive was jealousy as Cottrell hunted for her husband Joseph Cottrell 30 and found him with Roberts. The weapon was a 38 caliber Belgian revolver and Roberts died at the scene.

Two twin engine planes collided in a mountain pass near Yajalón Mexico killing fifteen. The planes carried two crewmen and eleven passengers.
