Popular Couple Weds at St Johns Episcopal Church

Miss Dorothy Ann Bonk and Cyrus Griffin were united in marriage Sunday at St. John's Episcopal Church in Butte. The ceremony featured Violet Laity and attendants Jane Bray and Francis Wyatt. A reception followed at Mrs. J. H. Martins home. The couple will tour Glacier Park before settling in Butte.

Miss Gene Flynn Visits Father From Seattle

Country Club Gala Highlights Ladies Day At Butte Course

Yesterday at the Butte Country Club a gala weekly ladies day featured joint hostesses Mrs. D. G. Stivers and Mrs. C. E. Calvert. Lavish floral decorations graced the long table while luncheon cards provided diversion. Notable attendees included Mesdames Stivers Thorkelson Rickman Featherly Leipheimer and many others. In morning golf match play Mrs. W. W. German led scoring with 4 up, followed by Mrs. C. Lopp at 2 up.

In Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania a Caesarean delivery saved a baby boy three hours after his mother Beatrice F. Sweet died of cerebrospinal fever at the contagious diseases hospital. The note also mentions German policemen being ordered to learn to drive.

Former Railroad Man Dies at Weston Idaho

Israel West, 79, a former depot master for the Northern Pacific, died Tuesday night at the Weston home of his daughter Mrs. Nash. He moved to Butte about 15 years ago to work, returned 10 years ago, then lived with another daughter Mrs. Olson after his wife’s death. Born in Ogden Utah, he leaves four sons, two in Oregon and two in California. Mr. West left Butte about a month ago.

Antioch Calif Aug 18 U P C A Cornell 38 Portland Ore hemophilia sufferer recovering today with aid of blood transfusions from loss of life blood from a cut in his tongue. Physicians say they are confident Cornell will live after hypodermic injections to coagulate blood failing to congeal due to the malady.

Cyclist Killed by Automobile Near Savage

Sidney reports Clarence Hart, 16, of Savage, was killed when his bicycle was struck by Freeman Pickering's car about one mile south of Savage last night. Hart was the son of Joseph Hart of Savage. His death raises Montana's 1937 traffic fatalities to 93.
