Nine Die in Two Car Crash Near Wall South Dakota
Nine persons died Friday night in a two car collision on U S 14 16 about two miles west of Wall South Dakota. One child survived but not expected to live. The dead included a mother and father their five children and two men. State police said the crash occurred on a straight stretch of a newly constructed highway. Both cars welded together by the impact.

U N Fires Red for Espionage
Viktor Ivanovich Petrov a Russian was fired by the United Nations and sent home after attempting to obtain secret information on U S military aircraft from an American. The discharge marked the third time a Soviet national at the U N has lost his job over espionage. Petrov 31 left for Russia with his wife and son. Evidence Indicates Craft Caught on Fire After Attack

Three Montanans Drowning Victims
The body of Ernest Peter Lowitz age 14 from Columbia Falls Montana was recovered from Liberty Lake near Spokane late Friday afternoon about 75 feet offshore in five feet of water. Officers said he was not a good swimmer and had been in the water about one and a half hours after swimming with friends.
