Bank Wins Float First In Tri-County Parade

Great Falls Cyclist Dies Near Basin in Accident
A 32-year-old Great Falls motorcyclist, Loren Peil, died Saturday near Basin eight miles south on Highway 91 after failing to negotiate a turn. Coroner Leonard Scott says a 60-foot embankment and rocks caused fatal head injuries. no helmet was found. The death raises Montana’s 1976 highway toll to 181. The body will go from Scott Funeral Home in Whitehall to Great Falls.

Moderate blacks seek talks with South Africa prime minister

Dooling moves Diamond Bar Inn in Jackson Montana
The 25 year old Diamond Bar Inn was moved north of Dillon over a month covering 54 miles. Owner Tom Dooling says the move cost under 20000 dollars and involved prep like reinforcing two bridges and transporting the halves down Highway 278. He plans to reopen as a private residence with reductions to the lodge business amid ongoing repairs and past losses.
