Lightning Rips Through Butte Home In Meaderville Flood

A severe lightning strike hit the Frank Faulkner residence at 1915 George Street causing plaster damage and alarm to occupants including Mrs. Faulkner and guests. Gust Osello’s Meaderville service station truck stalled as floodwater swept through Main Street, washing away a foot bridge and forcing the family to wade home.

Reorganization Meet Reelects GOP Officers

Republican central committee officers were unanimously re elected at a reorganization in Judge Riley's courtroom last night. Speakers included Frank A. Hazelbaker Tom Larson Leonard S. Young and Garfield Harris with Young Republicans backing. Officers reelected were Paul Hudtoff chair Floyd C. Fluent vice chair Garfield B. Perier secretary William Carpenter treasurer Dr R C Monahan state committeeman and Mrs Georgie Sundberg state committeewoman. A state meeting in Billings on September 4 was discussed.
