Wool Industry Seen as on Its Way Back

Salt Lake City August 18 The wool industry which has declined in the United States during the past decade appears to be reviving as shown by the North Salt Lake annual wool sale. J Melvin Jones executive secretary of the National Woolgrowers Association said the high price paid for wool producing rams signals a rebirth of interest in the industry.

Warden's Wife Mabel Best Dies After Illness in Canon City

Mabel Best wife of Colorado prison warden died Tuesday night after a four month illness. She was affectionately known as Aunt Mabel to many prisoners. She had been in a coma for the last day. Death Summons Miss Sullivan

Miss Bridget Sullivan an Ireland native who resided in Butte and Anaconda for over 45 years died at a local hospital after a lingering illness. The family home is 418 Pennsylvania. Surviving relatives include two sisters and a sister in law in Butte, several nieces and nephews in Butte Anaconda San Francisco Oakland and cousins in Michigan. The body lies at Dugpan's Merrill mortuary with funeral arrangements to be announced.
